With good temperature stability and high reliability, the Bezzera BZ02S and BZ02SDE 90 are second-to-none in its price class. In fact, we expect to corner the under $1000 heat exchange espresso machine price class with Bezzera's high quality in fit and finish and very high ranks for reliability and dependability. These espresso machines do not require any direct water connection as they have internal water reservoirs. Please note that these Bezzera models are not approved for restaurant or commercial kitchen use. Their groupheads are passively heated from the boiler (meaning they are not E61 groupheads). By design, these Bezzera espresso machines listed are considered semi-commercial units by 1st-line Equipment, and sorry, due to very competitive value pricing, Bezzera espresso machines can not be returned once used. Furthermore these units have been proven to make quality espresso once the user has learned and excelled in espresso making.

Some of the commercial grade features on the Bezzera espresso machines include a 58mm portafilter handle, automatic water refill of the boiler, and ability to steam milk right after making espresso or vice versa (as we do not recommend steaming milk or extracting espresso on any semi-commercial espresso machine with a boiler size less than 5 liters). We now have the direct water connect versions (vibration pump) that allow you to connect the machine directly to your water line. Please be aware that your water must be softened as the water in your line may cause limescale build up in your machine, and this is not covered under warranty.

Espresso Machines

The main differences between the S model and SDE model are:

• a) The S model has a coffee switch whereby the user always controls the amount of water through the coffee grind. The SDE model has a programmable touchpad whereby the user can program the machine to regulate the amount of water for both 1 cup and 2 cup.
• b) The S model does not have a boiler pressure gauge, and the SDE model does have a boiler pressure gauge. (UPDATE: BZ02S models shipping May 8th, 2006 and thereafter have a boiler pressure gauge)
